Young people from the #iWill project Brighouse made a Christmas lunch for 28 elderly residents.
The group prepared and cooked the Christmas dinner as well as the dreaded washing up afterwards. Social action events like these are great to build the profile of young people and help to build their skills. The feedback from the people enjoying the meal was great and they really appreciated what the girls had done for them and they also enjoyed the food. The young people had said it had helped build their confidence, and they would feel a bit more comfortable next time they were doing something like this.
