Portobello Together

Portobello Together was funded by the Big Community Fund which benefits from money raised from participants playing on the National Lottery. The project has been funded for 5 years allowing Inspiring Community to continue the good work in Portobello Wakefield. The project is about the community working together by delivering community events, offering opportunities to support the most vulnerable and giving the community the opportunity to shape the project. Community Fund

The Harmony Project

The Harmony project is run by Wakefield Council and it is support migrants in specific communities.  There are various aspects to the project, work young people, work on improving the environment, improving standards of private landlords and offering English as a second language conversational classes (Esol).  Inspiring Community are offering Esol conversational classes in the community of Portobello Wakefield.  If you would like any further information please contact Inspiring Community on 01924 676852 or info@inspiringcommunity.co.uk

ESF Community Grant

Inspiring Community have been awarded £12969 from Groundwork Uk ESF Community Grant.  This grant  will allow Inspiring Community to support people back into education or employment in the community we work in.  The project will support participants in building or updating a CV.  Looking at job searches, mock interviews and support with applying for work or education.

Community Foundation For Calderdale #iwill Project

#iwill project is about encouraging young people to participate in volunteering opportunities in their community.  Inspiring Community will achieve this through detached youth work sessions, and building relationships with young people in their neighbourhoods.  Working with young people to identity social action projects that will benefit their community.
